Course Description

The two day Combined Life and Health Insurance Exam Review Seminar covers state laws, rules, regulations, types of policies, policy riders, provisions, options, exclusions, completing the application, underwriting, delivering the policy, taxes, retirement, types of policies, policy provisions, clauses, and riders, social insurance, other insurance concepts and field underwriting procedures. During the seminar the student will receive a 24 page life insurance study guide with practice questions and a comprehensive diagnostic exam and a 24 page health insurance study guide with practice questions and a comprehensive diagnostic exam. The actual exam requires the student to pass four tests: the Life - Iowa Specific Content test (27 scoreable questions plus 5 pretest questions); the Life - General Knowledge Content test (50 scoreable questions plus 10 pretest questions); the Accident & Health - Iowa Specific Content test (30 scoreable questions plus 5 pretest questions); and the Accident & Health - General Knowledge Content test (50 scoreable questions plus 10 pretest questions) with a four-hour time limit.
